Principal's Message

Dr. Nicole Robinson

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Dolton School District 149 students in grades 3-8 will take the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) test.  The students will be assessed in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics. The IAR tests will occur March through May. District 149 was assigned the computer version of the test by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) for students in grades 3-8 based upon our technology readiness. The assessments are timed and the following chart explains the time allowed per test by grade level: In addition, our 8th grade students will be participating in the Illinois Science Assessment, which will be given in May.

Please remember that it is extremely important that students arrive to school on time for their assigned sessions and prepared to do their best on this assessment. Students will need to be in uniform and will need to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth. Students will need to bring their personal wired headphones with an auxiliary input connector on their testing days. Students must follow all social distancing guidelines set forth by the CDC. You can prepare them by making sure that they have a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call.

Educationally Yours,

Dr. Nicole Robinson
