P-EBT Update: Next Data Deadline is March 25
Data Collection Will Continue Through End of SY 20-21
Dear Parents and Guardians
The first mailing of P-EBT cards to eligible families is underway now. Student data (Free/Reduced Lunch/low income indicator, mailing address, as well as monthly attendance) continues to be collected by the State for public schools. This will ensure that P-EBT benefits continue for eligible students.
As families begin to receive their P-EBT cards and benefits, and if there are any questions about eligibility, we will assist you as best we can, as the school data is what is being used to make this determination. Any data submitted to the Illinois State Board of Educcation (ISBE) by the 25th of each month, will ensure that the benefits are provided the subsequent month to eligible students. The next data deadline is March 25, and will allow DHS to provide eligible students benefits in April 2021.
Should families have questions regarding the P-EBT benefits and issuances that we are unable to assist with, please review the information at https://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=131776, including the frequently asked questions. Parents may also contact the DHS toll-free P-EBT Helpline number at (833) 621-0737.
Thank you for your continued support!
