Principal's Message

Ms. Karen Slate

Re~Igniting Our Passion!”

March 2019

Dear Parent or Guardian:

Dolton School District 149 students in grades 3-8 will take the Illinois Assessment for Readiness (IAR) test.  The students will be assessed in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics (Math).

The IAR Assessment will occur during March and April.  Specifically, students in grades 3-8 will take the assessment during our designated testing window of March 11th – April 26th.   District 149 was assigned the computer version of the test by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) for students in grades 3-8 based upon our technology readiness.

Please remember that it is extremely important that students arrive to school on time and prepared to do their best on this assessment.  You can prepare them by making sure that they have a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.  **Parents we are asking that you allow your child to bring a set of headphones (nothing large or expensive) to school so that they are able to use them for the IAR assessment when needed.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact the office at the number listed above. Thanking You in advance for your 10% more of continued support!

We Believe… in Excellence, Humanization, & Pride! Sailing towards Success at NBLA!

Sincerely,
