Principal's Message

Mrs. ZaRita Beal

We Believe…Excellence, Humanization, & Pride

Welcome Back, We Missed You!!

August 2019

Greetings Parents, Families and Friends,

On behalf of our entire staff, we would like to welcome our incoming seventh grade students and our returning eighth grade students!  Much planning, construction and hard work has gone into preparing for a successful school year.

Let me begin by introducing myself! My name is Mrs. ZaRita Beal and I will be your child’s principal.  I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year and I am looking forward to meeting new faces, revisiting with familiar ones, as well as hearing all about your summer adventures! I am very excited to work together to make this a fabulous year!

Dolton School District 149 is committed to providing a safe, collaborative and dynamic learning community that empowers and challenges our students to become 21st Century lifelong learners.

Working within this philosophy, the faculty and staff of Creative Communications Academy believes its greatest responsibility is that of preparing its students for effective participation in society, as well as affording every student the opportunity to develop to the fullest potential appropriate to his or her capabilities.

In order to accomplish this goal, we strongly believe in this year’s District-wide theme: “ACCOUNTABILITY: Purpose, Practice and Performance”.

I will be spending a considerable amount of time discussing and implementing these concepts into what we are already doing at Creative Communications Academy.  I sincerely believe that by adhering to the basic ideas embedded in these concepts, our students will become well-rounded individuals and ready for the next phase, high school.  When we, as adults and role models, also adhere to these concepts, our students will better see the value of these concepts.

We are pleased to inform you that Dolton School District 149 will continue the implementation of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), an option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs, for 2019-2020 school year. Schools that participate in CEP are able to provide healthy breakfasts and lunches each day at no charge for all students enrolled in that CEP school.

The year will be busy, exciting, and hopefully very rewarding for each student.  We want you to join us in making this the very best experience for your children.  Being informed will help with this experience. Throughout the year our school website, periodic calendars, and newsletters, etc. will attempt to provide you with the most current information.  However, many times you will have questions.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, or any of our staff. Please mark your calendars for these upcoming dates and adhere to our school hours for students: 8:20 am - 2:50 pm.

  • Monday, August 19, 2019: First Day of School 8:20 a.m. – 2:50 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 24, 2019: Back to School Carnival at Caroline Sibley 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday, September 2, 2019: NO SCHOOL Labor Day

 Thank you and kind regards,

Mrs. ZaRita Beal
