Principal's Message

Mrs. ZaRita Beal

We Believe…Excellence, Humanization, & Pride

"Educating the Whole Child!"

Greetings Parents and Families of Creative Communications Academy,

My name is ZaRita Beal, the new Principal at Creative Communications Academy.  It is my privilege and honor to join Dolton School District 149 family.  I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning and growing with our students and working with our professional staff and you, our parents and community members.

Dolton School District 149 is committed to providing a safe, collaborative and dynamic learning community that empowers and challenges our students to become 21st Century lifelong learners.

Working within this philosophy, the faculty and staff of Creative Communications Academy believes its greatest responsibility is that of preparing its students for effective participation in society, as well as affording every student the opportunity to develop to the fullest potential appropriate to his or her capabilities.

In order to accomplish this goal, we strongly believe in our motto: We Believe … Excellence, Humanization and Pride!

I will be spending a considerable amount of time discussing and implementing these concepts into what we are already doing at Creative Communications Academy.  I sincerely believe that by adhering to the basic ideas embedded in these concepts, our students will become well-rounded individuals and ready for the next phase, high school.  When we, as adults and role models, also adhere to these concepts, our students will better see the value of these concepts.

I am very passionate about the middle school years.  Most of my 19 years have been in teaching and administration with students and staff of this age group.  This is an important and critical time of transition – moving from the middle school experience and preparing for the bigger challenge of high school.  What happens during these few short years will have a lasting impression on their development and growth.

We are pleased to inform you that Dolton School District 149 will continue the implementation of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), an option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs, for 2017-2018 school year. Schools that participate in CEP are able to provide healthy breakfasts and lunches each day at no charge for all students enrolled in that CEP school.

The year will be busy, exciting, and hopefully very rewarding for each student.   We want you to join us in making this the very best experience for your children.  Being informed will help with this experience.  Throughout the year our school website, periodic calendars, and newsletters, etc. will attempt to provide you with the most current information.  However, many times you will have questions.  Please do not hesitate to contact me, or any of our staff.

Thank you and kind regards,
Mrs. ZaRita Beal, M.Ed.
