"Educating the Whole Child!"
Dear Parents, Families, and Friends,
It’s that time again! Children are excited for the start of school and parents are just as eager. My staff and I are looking forward to a great year! The 2016 -2017 school year begins with greater expectations and a continued commitment to success.
The 21st Century will present many challenges for our students and we must meet them head on. We know our children will only be as successful as our commitment as a community. This will include our communication and academic intensity here at school and a dedicated monitoring of our children’s efforts at home. As we work in partnership to take our children to greater academic heights, we all must be invested in this timeless endeavor to have our children "career and college ready".
We are pleased to inform you that Dolton School District 149 implemented a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for school year 2016-2017. Schools that participate in CEP are able to provide healthy breakfasts and lunches each day at no charge for all students enrolled in that CEP school during the 2016-2017 School Year.
I encourage you to fully embrace the moment and urge you to take the time from your busy schedule to become familiar with our school, as well as create a homework-friendly home environment that will allow your children to excel.
We hope you will visit to our website (www.creativecommunicationsacademy.org). This website will give you a quick snapshot of life here at our school. Also, please explore our district website (www.sd149.org) to remain abreast of our district’s curriculum, programs, and daily events throughout the school year.
On behalf of the entire Creative Communications Academy staff, welcome back to school! We are looking forward to a school year filled with learning and growth.
Mr. Gerald Scott
