Principal's Message

Mrs. ZaRita Beal

We Believe…Excellence, Humanization, & Pride

June 2019

Dear Creative Communications Academy Community,

Thank you for a wonderful and productive school year.  I can’t thank everyone enough for your endless hours of volunteering, chaperoning, reading, organizing, donating and doing whatever was necessary to support students—both at home and at school.  Special thanks to our School Board and Superintendent who, as usual, went above and beyond the call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our students’ already rich school experience.

That experience could not occur without the endless energy, skills and devotion of the CCA staff.  Thanks and well done to an incredible group of professionals.

A final word to CCA students:  Thank you for all your hard work throughout the school year.  I am so honored to be your principal; you make me proud to be a part of the CCA family.  You keep me laughing and young at heart.  I am grateful for your joy, astute insights and amazing talents.  Best wishes to our 8th grade graduates whom I will miss greatly—please come back and visit.

Parents, if your child is registered for summer school, please remember that it begins on Wednesday, June 12th and runs through Friday, June 28th.  If you have any questions regarding summer school please give us a call.

We are proud to launch our new Balanced Literacy Summer Reading Program.  Coming home with you today is the Scholastic Summer Reading Book packet.  Use the Activity Sheets provided in the My Book Summer packet as a way to talk with your child about what they are reading.  Share any connections that you may to the stories, and ask your child questions about the books.  Use the conversations that stem from these books as a window into your child’s world.  Enjoy the experience of connecting with your child in a way that promotes learning, conversation, and family engagement.

As your student reads, look at the activity sheet that goes with the book.  Have them complete the different sections in any order or at any pace that is comfortable for them.  Once your child completes the activity, they will earn an incentive upon returning to school.

It is with renewed enthusiasm that we look forward to next year and all that it will bring.  Please be advised that effective August 19th is the first full day of school.  All students will be dismissed at 2:50 p.m. daily.   Everyone have a safe and happy summer break.

Until next school year, here is wishing you love, laughter and learning.

Educationally Yours,

Mrs. ZaRita Beal
