Dear Students, Parents and Guardians, 

As the principal of Carol Moseley Braun (CMB), it is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you and your child to the 2007-2008 school year!  The entire CMB staff is looking forward to another exciting year and we are united in our effort to provide excellent instruction for each child everyday.  

Student achievement will continue to be the focus of everything that we do at Carol Moseley Braun Elementary School.  As a staff, our goal is to continue to make significant growth in all areas.  We recognize that classroom instruction is essential to making that happen and we will continue to strive for excellence!   

We are very proud of the progress that our students continue to make on the Illinois State Achievement Test (I.S.A.T.) and are happy to report that we have more students scoring in the “meet” or “exceed” levels than ever before. 

In closing, I am constantly reminded of the tremendous opportunity and privilege I have to work with children.  Always remember… we are a T.E.A.M. (Together Educating All Minds).  Thank you for making Carol Moseley Braun an exceptional school.
