September 2007
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to the 2007-2008
school year. It is with great enthusiasm and anticipation that I take
this opportunity to welcome back our returning families, as well as,
welcome our new families to a great school community. As you know, we
are committed to providing your child with an excellent educational
experience. We are confident that your child’s experience will be one
of learning, fun and excitement. In alignment with our ongoing theme,
“Committed to Excellence” we all have high expectations for the academic
and social achievement of our students.
Our official school day begins at
9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m. We offer a breakfast program from 8:10
- 8:40 a.m. If your child is absent you must call the attendance office
at 868-7576 between 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. Our main office telephone numbers
are 868-1870 and 868-6640. Please be patient with us between 8:30 -
9:00 a.m. and 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. because those are the times that we
experience the heaviest call volumes. In addition, in an effort to keep
all of our students safe, we are asking that all drop-offs and walkers
arrive and depart from the front of Caroline Sibley (Yates Ave.) and
reserve the back parking lot for bus drop-offs only.
Caroline Sibley is a
family-oriented school community and we welcome visits, as well as,
suggestions from our parents. We sponsor monthly Coffee Club Meetings
as a way for parents to meet and network with other parents in the
community. Our Site-Based Decision Making Council also meets on a
monthly basis and we welcome your attendance and input. We value our
parents as an essential component of the learning process. Once again,
welcome to Caroline Sibley School.
Sincerely,
Ms. Herndon
Principal
